I've never developed the patience to tie my own flies.
Instead, I have two friends that do it to relax.
I have a collection of about 200 or more flies because of that.
What they don't tie enough of is big stone flies, which have been working pretty good on the creeks. I'm down to my last one.
I'll have to drop a suggestion.
