Where I used to go for Salmon and Steelhead

Mazon, Vermillion, Illinois, Rock, Galena, Apple, Kish, Mississippi and everything that flows into them. If any one gets more posts than the others, I'll give it it's own forum.

Where I used to go for Salmon and Steelhead

Post by Ken G »

Haven't been back there in years. You can go up and down stream from there.
Now is the time to go.

Estabrook Park in Wisconsin

Okay south siders, I know salmon, steelhead and walleye and smallies are in the Cal Sag. I know a guy that goes out this time of year and focuses on the salmon. He goes pretty far inland. So why not the Little Calumet in Riverdale all along it? Why wouldn't the be there. Been wondering that for years and never went to check it out.

Who lives closest?

Little Calumet at Riverdale

I'm pretty close. My boat can't handle that kinda water. I do know one spot off shore... Stony Island till it ends :) I have caught bass from there in the summer b4 but never made it for some Salmon action.
