That's what this one is about. If you're planning on fishing and want company, put that here. If the fish talk you have to say doesn't fit anywhere else, that can go here too.

Fished the river from 9:30 to 11. Water was up since the rain and the clarity was murky but not horrible. Finally it seems like walleye weather!!!! Temps in the low 30's with some steam rising off the river, able to see my breath, cold hands!!!

Well i caught 2 fish a walleye and a sauger nothing big but better then nothing since this year has sucked. I did happen to loose another big walleye. First cast at a different spot i moved to and i got slammed. Fish started pulling a little drag and rolled a little bit. Got her to shore to find one treble in her mouth the other in her gill plate. Decided to pop the hook in her gill plate out so i could grab her without getting a treble stuck in my hand (bad mistake). Got the treble out then she thrashed around and the other hook popped out. Now she was right in front of me, so i reach in the water after her, my pliers go flying into the water and i get a hand on her tail but not enough and she escapes  WTF!!!!! Oh well i'll be out again Sat. or Sun. night.

You can never fish the same river twice, by the time you get back it's not the same river.

Nice Matt. I hope to see the reports pick up with this weather finally starting to head in a normal pattern.

Why don't you go during the day, drag things along the bottom reeeaaaallll sllllloooowww, and let them see the bait.

They don't have those big eyes for nothing you know.

I've done both in the past. I keep telling you guys it doesn't matter. And if you wait, I'll go stock the area with my old wool socks. :D :D :D

Ken, i have put my time in on the DPR during the day using everything in the tackle box. I just dont seem to have any luck. It doesnt really matter this time of year anyways, its getting dark by 4:30. I like fishing at night anyways. Sometime it does get a little scary at night by yourself. Last night i was fishing standing in the middle of the river when something big right behind me made a huge splash (damn beavers). I think it is the same beaver but he scares the crap out of me every time.

That's the kind of stuff I always enjoyed.
The only couple of times I fished at the Hofmann dam and down around the bend I caught walleye.
During the day of course.

I guess you're an official member of the Sucksatfishing tribe.

You'll need a name.

Cantcatchawalleye

Or more generic: cantcatchafish

I like that one.
We'll have to make a list, otherwise we'll forget.
I thought a couple of others picked a name or two also.
