DuPage this Weekend

That's what this one is about. If you're planning on fishing and want company, put that here. If the fish talk you have to say doesn't fit anywhere else, that can go here too.

DuPage this Weekend

Post by Ken G »

Looks like I'll be going unless this cold that's destroying me turns into something worse. I slept all weekend. You don't know how rare that is for me.

Sam passed on some great maps. I'll get his input, he seems to be the DuPage expert.

Part of me wants to try that area I posted about, especially around the trout farm or down from where the East and West come together. The other is thinking somewhere between Plainfield and Channahon.

Looking like Saturday afternoon and/or Sunday morning. Some of these areas I have no clue about, so it's going to be pure guess work. But it beats the Fox right now. Sam's pics from a couple of weekends ago don't lie.

Well you can count me in no matter where it is. I'm willing to travel to get a line wet.

I'm going to scout out a spot near the trout farm in the next couple of days. I'm more curious about this stretch than any hope of catching anything. Then further south the other day maybe.

Holy crooked smiles Batman! Out from the grave comes Johnny Dyers!

Where you been John?! I thought maybe you tried to wade the Fox on your own and rode an iceberg to Peoria or something....

Another weekend on the ice for me and I'm hanging up the shanty.

See you boys on the water soon enough!

You lay on a cot in a shack with a tip up doing all the work in a little 6 inch hole and somehow you expect me to believe that is called fishing. I don't get it. :P :P

Sam, your choice on Sunday. You know the south end better than I.
I'm still thinking of exploring that trout farm area on Saturday. Fish or no fish.

Will keep you posted.

Nobody ever accused you of being a smart man Ken.... :o

It's less fishing, more cajoling and socializing. I'm not a social person by nature, so this type of limited social interaction is right up my alley. If I don't want to talk, I just close up the shack and watch my video game. :D

Plus, you can't beat the food!

Yea I'm back from my iceberb trip down to Peoria. I allowed work to catch up on me this winter so that way I can have some "me'' time this spring, summer, and fall. I'm looking forward to hitting the water hard here in the upcoming weeks to get the season on its way.
