river temp readings

Anyone have a resource for this? I can't seem to find any data available in a "real-time" format.

Fox and/or Dupage is what I am looking for.

I don't recall ever seeing that info available like that.
You have to rely on someone actually going out there and taking it.

I don't even bother any more. If I'm going fishing, I'm going regardless of what the temps are.

That's why I asked, I don't think anyone has anything up like that.

Up on the wolf river, the wolfrivercam.com site has an aquaview at Shiocton showing the walleye and redhorse migrating upriver. Pretty cool to see the quantity of fish in that river. Anyway, there is a temp reading in the upper righthand corner just like my aquaview. 41 degrees and the migration is in FULL swing.

I literally work on the Fox in Elgin. It only takes a few minutes for me to go down and get a water temp. Yesterday it was 46. If you ever want to know just ask We keep a close eye on conditions on the river..if anyones interestd I could start posting weekly updates like BB&T used to do..

That would be cool Erik. If it's not a pita for you, I know I would be interested in knowing the temp before I head out. Especially if it's just before or after a drastic change in flow. It could help me pin down an area to concentrate on, or what presentations to stick to.

I can't believe it's 46 already. 45 is the magic number. No wonder people are reporting smallie catches up and down the river.
