Stocked Trout
Well this is my 1st time going after trout in rock creek. Any one got any pointers... they stock it tonight I hear.. I will be there bright and early swinging flies for IL trout..lol

I thought after they stocked it they let it sit for a few days, you can't fish it. I know they do that on the lakes.
Bring Meow Mix.
Do a float and fly thing, I think you fly guys call them strike indicators.
I would catch and release, unless you have cats. Then bring them home for the cats. Not worth eating since they taste like crap.
On a serious note, walk from the state park all the way up through the one time airfield to the natural dam/waterfall. Drop down into the creek and fish you're way back. You can bet few others will do that. Too hard to drag the lawn chair over the rocks.
