Rain, Rain, Go Away

And you can do that here. Off fishing topic and off the wall subjects and plain bitch sessions. Sometimes you just need to have an outlet. Only registered users can see this forum.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Post by Special Ed »

Come again some other day.....

It's hard to get excited about bargain hunting for a new set of waders when all the flowing water you drive by in the morning looks like YooHoo.

I'm jonesin' real hard for some cool water stumbling. I wonder what the water looks like up on the Apple? :ugeek:

Had plans to take the kids tubing this weekend on the Illinois R..
Air temps in the 70's isn't good and the river is blown out anyways.
won't be normal flow until next weekend.

Have new plans:
maybe just wash out the boat in the driveway.
trying my best to NOT finish the honeydo list.

like the administration, i have reprioritized and will start with the least important.
Then i plan to finish strong with the #1 item in a few months.
See the world before its gone!

Drove over Big and Little Rock creeks this morning. Flowing mud. More rain on the way. The Apple gauge is showing that it's flowing at 300, which could be good. But again, depends where the rain goes.

The Fox is down to 1600 already, which actually makes it the best bet right now. Go figure.

How come women don't have honey do lists. Chances are our lists for them would all revolve around sex. Which means they'd never get their honey do list done either. Cut 'em a deal, I say.

I made plans to fish tightly regulated flowing water Saturday. "Cheater-style"

Maybe I can get some more footage. Going to have to use a different song though......

You can never fish the same river twice, by the time you get back it's not the same river.

I was up there on saturday and it was PERFECT. Didnt get much fishing in unfortunately but if I can put some gas $$ together for this weekend Im going back strictly to fish. Check the flows earlier today and NO change from last weekend. As long as they dont get hit with storms that definitely looks like the place to be; especially since when I drove over the dupage this morning it was at road level in Bolingbrook.

Was over below the dam in North Aurora this afternoon. The river was up just a bit, stained but has 2 foot of clarity. Depending on where the rain falls the next couple of days, it could be in real good shape this weekend! The DuPage on the other-hand is currently a muddy mess.
