First Weedless popper

And you can do that here. Off fishing topic and off the wall subjects and plain bitch sessions. Sometimes you just need to have an outlet. Only registered users can see this forum.

First Weedless popper

Post by smallmouthfisher »

Guys,

Its late I am drunk and wanted to try to make a weedless popper. I know its not the neatest but I know this will catch fish.. Thoughts and suggestions. I have not read or watch any videos on how to make poppers but this is what I came up with..

I used to have a few like those, but can't find the box I kept them in.

You're going to find yourself cutting off the weed guard. At least I did. Can't remember why, just something about them didn't work.

Next one make black and white. Kind of like the pattern on a Heddon torpedo.

looks good!

add rubber legs on the next one they will create more surface action while its moving.

Sometimes the guard does make it run crroked if not straight but that is a balance with the tail feathers.
If there is debris or mat on the surface, it will turn but thats ok if the fish are still biting!

OK i'll send in my order!
See the world before its gone!
