Fishing sites

And you can do that here. Off fishing topic and off the wall subjects and plain bitch sessions. Sometimes you just need to have an outlet. Only registered users can see this forum.

Fishing sites

Post by ThunderStick »

I only post at one other public fishing board but I do lurk on a number of other local boards looking to pick up info. There is one in particular that never fails to amaze me. The latent and sometimes blatant racism that board oozes is just sickening. Then there's the ignorance and stupidity and hatred. I cut my teeth back in 99 and the early 00's on that board (met Ken and Rob P there among a lot of others) and used to squabble a lot with the ding dongs there and eventually got banned from posting because of my political leanings. What am I saying here? I dont really know except that one particular recent thread on that board has gotten me all pissed off. Armchair warriors who think that we're in a religious war.....pathetic.

There are a few I no longer even go visit, including the one where I started.

Some things just don't change. I like to think the mostly normal crowd visits here.

That's why there are so few members.

When I talk about liking to fish high cold muddy rivers, normal is not usually the term applied to me. Then again, when I mention fishing 250 to 275 days a year most folks don't look at me like I'm normal either.
What a long, strange trip it still is .

Put a glide in your stride, a dip in your hip and come onto the mother ship .

Ah yes the old sites.

My 2 favorite topics to pile on were...

1-How do I catch a Fox River musky with out good gear or really trying to learn the species or habitat..
2-And then whats the best way to cook it and eat a musky,
..and in addition do short muskies taste better?

Thread posting is a fine art...:
you need to insult first in your thread, then finish with hi praise and accolades!

*
eg.

XX you ignorant jerk, the site owners want nothing but the best for Illinois Fishing so stop yer whinning.
But you make some good valid points that I think all can agree are worthwhile.
Again Great idea, We need folks like you to show the way to "fishing grace"..
Bud we need to wet a line sometime and help solve this issue!!
