mmm Eat some poo

And you can do that here. Off fishing topic and off the wall subjects and plain bitch sessions. Sometimes you just need to have an outlet. Only registered users can see this forum.

That's a myth. When I was doing the kid fishing program with Bob Long we fished the harbors all the time. All goby caught got smacked on the concrete and tossed back in the lake. Like I said, everything eats goby.

Fish will eat anything that resembles food, even if it barely qualifies for that. The fact that you and your fishing kiddies caught gobies on worm chunks in the harbor does not mean that salmon prey upon gobies. It means that gobies prey upon anything.

Has there ever been a salmon that has eaten a goby? I'd be an idiot not to recognize this as a possibility. However the salmon that are stocked in Lake Michigan and the ones that are naturally reproducing feed almost exclusively on alewives.

If you had the kids out there in the harbor catching silver fish they were either stockers or steelhead which are not salmon.

Ken, I recall seeing a pic of that fish. It was a beautiful looking muskie. Only way it could get better would be to pan fry its fillets in butter with some minced garlic and roughly chopped green onion.
