Drove over it in Plainfield the other day. The weeds there looked like green blankets in the water. Have fun and good luck.

We parked at knock knolls park around 8:30-9 and hiked to the confluence of the two branches. The west branch was very shallow and almost all weeds. The east branch is a lot deeper and we worked our way back up river for about three hours. I had a blast. I totally get wading after just the one trip. I only managed to land one northern that was about 16". My dad hit a very small rock bass and a decent sized largemouth but as it was approaching noon and we were looking at 97 degree heat, the fish weren't biting all that much. But I didn't fall over and we caught a few fish, so wading trip number one was a complete success in my book.
