Should have slept in

Post by Nick »

Headed out early on Saturday with a fellow fly fisherman. The bite was non-existent for the first few hours but a simple change of color on my fly seemed to be the magic secret.

In the final couple of hours, we landed about 16 smallies with an 18" and 19" in there.

If you're lucky this time of year, the morning bite might be okay.

But best bet is wait for things to warm up. It was in the 30's out here Monday night.

I recognize that background and I bet if I go through my pictures, I can match the fish.

You should start autographing your fish. That way, when I catch one I can say, "Hey, Ken G caught this one!"

I thought of branding them some how. I may have to get some of those little tags the IDNR uses.
