A Whole lot of Nuthin'

Post by Ken G »

But it will get better.

Was going through my photos from March of last year. I was cleaning up everywhere on the Fox and any of it's creeks. So far this year... nada.

I got one smallie last week when the water was really high. They like to sit right under my dock. Still took me an hour to get one of them to hit.

I'm back from Alabama next week and plan on getting out as much as possible.

Let me know when the time's right, Old Man - I'm coming to visit as soon as you give the sign. Now that I've got CB to help out at work I plan on taking advantage of the mid-week ramble...

I'm doing short dine and dashes this weekend. Not worth putting in the time yet.

I'd like to get you in a stretch far down from me, but it's a hike and it can't be done when the water is up. That's the stretch where I think some of the biggest flatheads live. You'll understand why when you see it. I want to see if I can connect with a land owner too and see if we can make our lives easier when we go. I used to have permission, but it's been years since I've used them.

My mid week days are over except for evening runs, working again and it might turn full time.

It's going good.
Don't like the hour or more commute one way, but I get off at 4:30. Which means I can be suited up and on some water by no later than 6.

By 5:30 if I stop at one of the DuPages.

I can live with that.
