Yes, it's the time of year where if you want to increase your chances of catching a fish out of the Fox, go fish the outflow of a treatment plant. Caught smallies every month of the year for over 4 years. Relied on this area for the winter months to keep that streak going.
Best one I know of is between Montgomery and Oswego. That's all the info you get for now. If you are reading this, then you know how to use the internet to find this spot.
The river is flowing at about 2000cfs, so wading to it would be stupid. Running across the tracks from the route 25 side would be even more stupid. Unless you are me.
West side, under route 30, walk down the tracks. You'll figure it out when you get to the river.
I won't be doing this anytime soon. Have done it too many times to care anymore. Don't need live bait, but it increases your catch rate. Water flowing out should be about 55 degrees. Don't forget to follow it down stream to at least the high power lines. The warm water hugs the west shore to there and beyond.

Re: Crap Plant Fever
Spiz,
I still can't believe you went under the tracks.
I imagine my back going out half way through and rescue crews trying to figure out how the hell to get me out of there.
Waiting for the weather to warm up. May have to do that myself.
If you don't want to chance the tracks, go park under Route 30 on the Route 31 side and hike down the tracks. Much easier. The water was flowing at 4000 the last I checked. Even I wouldn't walk in that, well, not much anyway.
