Ken, Not Gonna Happen Today

Post by Special Ed »

Not even going to try to attempt to wade today. I was up till 3 working on some of those rods, then the little one got up, then the middle one, then the smoke detectors started falsing...

Zero sleep, didn't put my gear in the car, and now the wife is telling me she needs a couple hours after I get home to go shopping.

Maybe Thursday...

Maybe Thursday we'll get together to go over the rod building stuff. Or go fishing and talk about it. Probably the latter would be better for your mental health.

Today will probably be one of those banner days of fishing you know. That's the way it always works.

I know it will be. That is the way it works.

Are you starting at the islands or at the bridge?

Wife is shopping now, possible I might stop at home, say hi and hit the water. Would be a 4:45/5pm drop in if I did. I will buzz you by 5 if I am headed that way.

Even though I am exhausted, I need the exercise. Especially after what I am about to eat for lunch!

There was a massive storm marching across the state all day. It got to the lower Fox Valley and completely fell apart. Amazing how it does that consistently. I'm glad I got that air traffic controller out guiding a long time ago. Would have never known they actually call it the Fox Valley Effect.

I'll be parking at the canoe launch and hiking back almost to the bridge, then behind those islands somewhere as long as the storms keep falling apart.

Bring rain gear if you show up. Just in case. And a lighting rod. Better you than me.
