Batavia 10/3

Post by MattC »

After work decided to go to the fox. Was planning on going to Les Arends F.P. but drove by to see that the parking lot was closed due to being re-paved, so went over to 25 and started at the old dam by funway and worked my way down river. Action was pretty slow today got about 8 smallies nothing bigger than 10in. I definetly want to fish that area again, the farther down river i went the more beautiful it was, maybe i will park at red oak next time, but then again i still havent tried Les Arends. Maybe will try and get out sunday morning early, well see.

You can never fish the same river twice, by the time you get back it's not the same river.

Matt, got out there Saturday at sunrise. You can park in the moose lodge parking lot across from the entrance and hike in. That's what I did. Wound up wading the river then heading over to Mill Creek.

From Funway down past Mill Creek I've spent hundreds of hours combing that area.

Just can't beat the beauty of it all even if the fishing sucks.
