As Congress crafts a massive economic stimulus package to help get
people back to work and jumpstart America's economy, please urge your
lawmakers to ensure that funds are invested wisely to protect and
restore clean water and America's rivers. Investments in green solutions
will create jobs, save money, and protect public health and safety. To

We can't afford to waste money on outdated, costly approaches that will
lead to more wasteful use of water and energy. Funding expensive new
dams and "sewer lines to nowhere" will compound our problems and take us
in the wrong direction. Now is the time to make wise investments in
cost-effective, 21st century green infrastructure solutions and river
restoration projects. That means investing in water efficiency, natural
flood protection, smart stormwater management, and other cost-effective
solutions.
