How I'll Spend my Summer Vacation

Post by Ken G »

At the top of the first picture you'll see a wooded area that's not very big. This is an area where I've already spent about 12 hours exploring. About 7 of those were in the water. And I didn't cover any where near the amount I wanted to.

When you put the next picture at the bottom of the other you see how much of it I want to cover. Acess is limited, but I think I figured it out.

So if you don't hear from me over the summer, you'll have a general idea of where to start looking.

It's only 15 minutes from my house. ;) ;)

Now you get an idea of how I find all those wonderful spots. It takes a fair amount of work and research. And some driving around. And some wasted time wandering through thick thorn bushes. And sitting on top of bridges. And I should have bought stock in Google years ago based on how much time I spend typing in park districts and forest preserves.

In case you're wondering, I've written about this twice.

This explains my first trip there. Have lots of pictures, never put them up.

This is the time I went with my daughter before she took off for college. A few pictures.

Also wandered the woods here with both my daughters picking quarts of blackberries.

Ahhhh, post the pics Ken. I love creeks.
You can never fish the same river twice, by the time you get back it's not the same river.

I just never seem to get around to them lately.
I'm trying to be more organized about it.
