Where to start???
Where to start???
I recently visited a place that had a computer archery game. I used a real bow and arrows with the tips replaced with round caps. There was a screen with videos of animals to shoot, and after every shot the computer scored based on accuracy. Anyway, I really liked it, and I wasn't too bad at it. I would love to learn more about it, but I don't want to learn by trial and error with the going rates of these things. Where is a good place to try different ones, learn more about it, and possibly find used equipment? I would be more interested in target shooting than hunting.

Re: Where to start???
Just sent Rob a PM about your question. We'll see if he shows up. He's been laying low everywhere lately. He seems to know the most.
I've been keeping an eye out for used longbows. I want to go the more traditional route. I'm right down the street from Silver Springs. They have a shooting range you can just walk up and use and I want to get my daughters shooting.
I'll bet there's good bows in attics and garages all over the place. It's been tough finding used ones. I just keep bugging people. If you hit a treasure trove, let me know. I need 3.

Thanks, and you got it. I have been looking at the new ones, but they are CRAZY expensive! I hope to stumble onto a good used one.
