...hardly.

Con and I made it out to the location Monday morning.

Within the first 5 minutes this skinny little guy came on a spook.

Definitely a pretty area though...most photos here provided by Con...

I even liked the rest area..though we didn't stop to use it...

I wound up with 5 smallies and a channel cat with Con not too far behind that.

Word on the street is that this place has been receiving significant pressure from one of your Fans Ken.
He even states in one of his reports that he's lost $60 worth of Rapalas to bite offs....just like you said in your MQ post.
So...either coincedence or.....mockery?

I gotta admit I'm a little envious because as far as I am aware the guys that are jealous of me don't go out of there way to pressure a spot I'll soon be fishing.
They just ignore my posts.

You must be quite flattered=)

So yeah...anyway...by my standards I'd say that we definitely qualify for the Sucksatfishing tribe.

I'll be "HimHeapumWetFoot" which translates to LL Bean waders BLOW.

Edit:: I guess my preferred file size doesn't work on this site...had to go back and resize all them pics...what a pain in the ass!! Hope the old guys don't have to squint too hard to see these avatar sized photos! lol

Glad you finally made it out there. I used to practically live in that stretch.

It's mockery. I knew when he was lurking here that he would pull a stunt like that. He's been pulling shit like that for over 10 years. And he wonders why I've told him numerous times that he and his motivations can't be trusted. Never, ever confide in him like a friend. He'll get on the boards and throw personal info in your face too. Been there, he done that.

You like the scarred trees? I've stood on the shore during floods and watched other trees create those. Makes one hell of a noise. I once saw a maple tree floating in the middle of the river during a flood. Root ball the size of the one you guys show. That was impressive.

I think my best day years ago in this stretch was 35 smallies landed. Add my miss numbers to that and it was a good day. 5 is a slow day. I've had nothing but slow days when I get out there lately. Can't time the conditions like I used to. Now I go when I can rather than when I should.

I was trying to get Con to get closer to the mouth of Mill Creek the other day. I don't think he trusted my comment of "you'll be fine." :P :P

I meant to tell you about that photo thing. No need to have pictures bigger than 6 X 8 and 72 dpi. Saves on server space and bandwidth too. Also saves me from scrolling side to side to see all of your picture. :D :D

That's because he didn't take them. No Vaseline® on the lens. ;) ;)

Left this on WCF, not sure of my standing over there anymore so I'm putting my response to you here too:

You should do it. Good way to keep all your musings in one spot. Gets tiring following you around the internet. Put it all in Word or some text document first, then post it. That way you always have a record of it. Then there's that book . . .

Just don't forget the picture posting lesson.

My personal preference would be to skip the free blog sites. Cheap hosting at BlueHost. Then wordpress.org and set up your own blog. It can get a little involved, but it's not hard. Once it's done it's done. Virtually maintenance free. That way you have complete control of everything. No editors, you get to put up whatever you want, no conflicts of interest and on and on. I know a guy that skipped the blog software because of it's limitations, set up a forum with sections and treats the whole thing as a multi-tiered blog. Same amount of setup as blog software and a lot more flexibility.

You need help, let me know.

Awesome photos, sir Darth!

If you also need assistance with getting a blog set up, let me know.

I've got unlimited space on my website servers and could even make a pimped out design and layout for you if you elect to go that route. I gave two of my good fishing buddies a blog of their own off my site so I figure why not. We're all colleagues in one way or another. Giving a helping hand and forging partnerships is what it's all about.

I use wordpress. Everything else is a little too undeveloped for my needs and standards.

I hate Twitter myself. It makes our society dumber as it dumbs down the system of communication. I still prefer telephone rather than text message of all things.

PS - I still don't believe that the offender who alleges to have lost $60 worth of Rapalas would be that bad of a guy.

Here's what Dan is talking about:

Mine - http://www.fishing-headquarters.com/fishcast/

Mike's - http://www.fishing-headquarters.com/mplantfishing/

Kenny's - http://www.fishing-headquarters.com/mplantfishing/

As far as having it be associated with FHQ.com, it's your choice and I couldn't force it on you. But I'd still link it anyways.

I don't know ISA and neither am I fazed by them. It was never a hassle. It was just a bunch of wimps crying over getting a bad rap on other websites.

That's basically what it was.

And yes, I am willing to set Darth up with something if he wants it. It's all on me - not a problem.
