Re: RedemptionQuest?
I was always planning on setting up a site with forums etc for fishing as well as other stuff. I just really never got around to it. You would think with me being off work for so long that I would have done it by now

Re: RedemptionQuest?
Do the blog. Keep the separate files as I've mentioned. Some day your daughters will appreciate that. Let's them know what you're like and what you were doing. Reason for keeping things for yourself, I don't trust the internet. Host goes away, so does all your stuff. Poof. Buh-bye.
Nick, it's a lot of work if you get caught up in it. There are times I wish I didn't start this up again. It is my second time, first one was in 2002. I think of it as a repository for the stories and observations I make. If no one ever commented, it wouldn't matter. I know they would be lurking and if all they wanted to do is read, that's fine too. Tough call. Have to ask yourself, what am I bringing to the table that's different?
I have my stories and pictures. Not interested in being a chitown, clf, wcf or Romper Room like Andrew's site.

Re: RedemptionQuest?
I didn't make it to the official MQ.. I did catch a whisper in the breeze telling me to head towards the creek , could have been your sucksatfishing spirit Ken.
Lots of character in that stretch, not including us clowns. Pretty sure i'll sneak out there again. Once again DW picked the right lure. I threw a 3" & 4" kalins grub more than anything.. Also threw a spook, spinnerbait,
DT 4 & peanut. Dinks or near misses on all but the spinnerbait.
Water temps were teetering between 69.9-70.6 pretty much the same as the last time out.
Sweet pics DW. If you need a cameraman for your blog, just gimme a shout, always a pleasure.
Oh, I'll be "Wind in his waders" I had some kielbasa and kraut the night before that had me clamping the front and loosening the back of my waders, to keep the environment aerated and friendly. Funny thing, farting in waders.. When you get to deeper water and all the air gets pressed out, you get that nice fermented treat.

Excellent report and pics!
I need to get out wading sooner or later to some new stretches myself, the Illinois River hasn't been producing very well for me as of lately.

Ya Ken. I already keep a journal in Word, so it would be just a matter of migrating all that info over to a webpage that I build. I'm very capable of that, though. I know HTML and XHTML and have built sites from scratch before. It's more of a matter do I want to spend the time on it, as well as put up with all the headaches that go along with it This time around I'd probably use frontpage or something to build the site, though. Typing out all the code is definitely way more time than I want to spend on it. I'd never get out to fish if I did that lol
